In October I had the privilege of picking up Arthur Alligood from the airport and giving him a whirlwind tour around Orange County. Though we did not go to Disneyland I took him past Crystal Cove down into Laguna Beach for him to wander the beaches and meet the people behind the Fiji Kinde Project. He slept over at the house of former baseball star pitcher Gregg Olsen and made his way to Milk + Honey at the Camp in Costa Mesa for tea. While in California he played a total of two shows before he was back on the plane to become the 2011 Winner of Mountain Stage NewSong Contest. Before he left us in sunny Cali, he gave FEEDtheMUSIC a private performance at the Camp in Costa Mesa. Check out Gavel and other great songs off his latest release: I Have Not Seen The Wind.

sound delicious!
BTW - the crackling during the song is your computer speakers, you should probably get them fixed.

I just supported Flo Paris and helped make her album through kickstarter. I’ve wanted to help others in the past, but this was the first time I’ve pulled the trigger and it was a real easy experience. I now wish I had helped Midnight Hour back in the day. I’d be listening to their unreleased album right now. Poor me… :)

Hey FTM fans,
One of our showcase bands, Lakes, just released a new album. Its their first release in four years and you are absolutely going to be blown away. Please check out their site as you can stream the full album. Its a indie release so know that this is the only way that you are going to hear about it - via people’s recommendations. Please click here http://www.lakesband.com/
Also CookBook & Uno Mas recently won a contest with MTVU and got their video on MTV. The track is off their new release C&U Music factory and its called “When You Rock & Roll.” Fellow L.A. Symphony member Flynn Adam also released a new ep earlier this year called “Bang The Drums” and its very hipster.
In other news, Manafest has been touring the world and came out with a new album earlier this year and the PawnShop kings have new hats. Nicole Vaughn is hard at work on a new album and Molly Jensen is returning to Orange County after living in Nashville for a season and touring the country. Paul Wright and his band Rootdown have a bunch of new songs and are currently visiting college’s bringing their funky sound.
